Only Your Car Engine Sounds Finer
Car shows are uniquely American, Pistons and Paint is uniquely Texan. The Car and art show features icons and reflections of an era gone by. Cars and motorcycles entered in the show must have been born before 1965. Many cars show up adorned in a mimic of their original paint job, while others take on unique designs in paints that were not made available at time of manufacture. The festival boasts many fine musicians whose sounds range from country to authentic western swing. The festival began in 2001 where a small crowd and 38 classic cars filled a parking lot in Garland.
Over the years, the festival has grown to such a large capacity, that it required the wide open space of the North Texas Fair Grounds, with an opening an closing party held at Dan’s Silverleaf. The fun begins Friday at Dan’s on November twelfth, with the main attraction opening next day at the crack of noon. $25 to enter your vehicle, $5 for adult entry, but all kids are admitted free.
